Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 16, 2026
WiggleBop is designed to help parents and guardians encourage physical activity by allowing children to earn screen time through movement and exercise.
Protecting children and families is important to us. WiggleBop is designed to minimize the collection of personal information and to perform sensitive functions, including exercise detection, directly on the user's device whenever possible.
This Privacy Policy explains what information WiggleBop accesses, how that information is used, and how we protect it.
1. Information WiggleBop Accesses
Camera
WiggleBop may request access to the device camera when a user chooses a camera-based exercise activity.
The camera is used to detect body movement so WiggleBop can recognize completed exercises such as squats, jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, or other supported movements.
Camera images and video are processed for exercise detection.
WiggleBop does not intentionally record, save, upload, sell, or share photographs or video captured during exercise detection.
Camera access is only used when necessary for camera-based WiggleBop features.
Accessibility Service
WiggleBop uses Android's Accessibility Service as part of its parental-control functionality.
When enabled by a parent or guardian, this service allows WiggleBop to determine when selected apps are being used so that earned screen-time balances can be applied to those apps.
The Accessibility Service may access information necessary to identify the application currently being used on the device.
WiggleBop does not use the Accessibility Service for advertising, profiling, or selling user information.
Accessibility Service data is used only to provide the parental-control and screen-time functionality requested by the parent or guardian.
A parent or guardian must enable the Accessibility Service through Android device settings.
Selected Restricted Applications
Parents may choose which installed applications are subject to WiggleBop screen-time controls. Information about these selections may be stored locally on the device so WiggleBop can enforce the parent's settings.
Parent PIN and App Settings
WiggleBop may store a parent-created PIN and settings such as restricted application selections, earned screen-time balances, exercise settings, parental-control preferences, and other WiggleBop configuration information.
This information is intended to remain stored locally on the device unless a future feature specifically informs the parent otherwise.
2. Exercise and Movement Information
WiggleBop may calculate exercise repetitions and earned screen-time amounts based on movement detected by the device camera.
Exercise counts and screen-time balances may be stored locally to allow WiggleBop to operate.
WiggleBop does not use exercise information to create advertising profiles or sell information about children.
3. Purchases and Subscriptions
WiggleBop may offer monthly and annual subscriptions through Google Play.
Subscription payments are processed by Google Play.
WiggleBop does not receive or store a user's full credit-card or bank-account information.
WiggleBop may receive information from Google Play indicating whether a subscription has been purchased, is active, has expired, or has been canceled. This information is used to unlock and manage paid WiggleBop features.
Google's handling of payment information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.
4. Children's Privacy
WiggleBop is designed for use by children under the supervision and control of a parent or guardian.
Parent-only settings, purchases, and parental-control functions should be protected through the parent area of the application.
WiggleBop is designed to minimize the collection of personal information from children.
WiggleBop does not knowingly ask children to provide their name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, or other contact information in order to use the core exercise and screen-time features.
WiggleBop does not knowingly sell children's personal information.
WiggleBop does not use children's information for targeted or personalized advertising.
If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner inconsistent with applicable law or this Privacy Policy, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
5. Advertising
WiggleBop does not currently display third-party advertising.
If advertising practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and relevant disclosures will be updated before those changes are introduced.
6. Data Sharing
WiggleBop does not sell personal information.
WiggleBop does not share camera images or exercise video with advertisers.
Information may be shared only when necessary to provide services requested by the parent, comply with applicable law, protect users or the application, or operate services such as Google Play subscription processing.
7. Data Storage and Security
WiggleBop is designed to keep core parental-control, exercise, and screen-time information on the user's device whenever practical.
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the application.
No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If WiggleBop later introduces cloud accounts, remote backups, synchronization, analytics, or other online data services, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain those practices before or when they are introduced.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Information stored locally by WiggleBop can generally be removed by resetting WiggleBop's application data or uninstalling the application from the device.
Subscription records maintained by Google Play are governed by Google's retention practices.
If WiggleBop introduces user accounts or server-stored user information in the future, we will provide appropriate methods for requesting deletion of that information.
9. Permissions
WiggleBop may request device permissions necessary to provide its features, including camera permission for movement and exercise detection and Accessibility Service access for parent-authorized application monitoring and screen-time control.
Permissions can be managed through Android device settings.
Disabling a required permission may prevent the related WiggleBop feature from functioning properly.
10. Third-Party Services
WiggleBop may use Google Play services required to distribute the application and process subscriptions.
Those services are operated by Google and are governed by Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.
WiggleBop does not control the privacy practices of third-party services.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when WiggleBop changes or when legal, technical, or regulatory requirements change.
The updated policy will include a revised effective date.
Material changes affecting the way user information is handled may also be communicated within the application or through the app listing where appropriate.
12. Parent and Guardian Contact
Parents and guardians may contact us with questions about WiggleBop's privacy practices or requests relating to information associated with the application.
